Government Dental Subsidy Scheme
The Government Dental Subsidy Scheme is for patients with a Health Care, Disability, or Pension card, and covers either 50% or 75% of dental fees at specialised dental clinics around Perth.
We participate in the Government of WA North Metropolitan Health Services scheme to help see patients when these government dental clinics are at capacity. If they cannot secure an appointment for you, they will provide a voucher for you to see a private dental clinic at the subsidised rate.
We cannot subsidise treatment costs without a voucher from one of these government dental clinics.
To find your nearest clinic and to find out more about the Government Dental Subsidy Scheme, visit this website.
How to Apply:
- Find your nearest clinic by visiting this website.
- Call your nearest government dental clinic and ask to be registered on their system. A valid Health Care or Pension Card is required.
- If you require urgent dental treatment (such as painful, broken teeth) let them know and they can arrange an urgent appointment or a voucher to use at a private dental clinic.
- For non-urgent dental treatments, they can supply you with a voucher to use at a private dental clinic. The first appointment would be a general examination to determine what treatment is required. Dental treatment can be completed over several appointments.
The voucher is valid until the form expires or treatment costs reach a certain limit. Vouchers are limited to Government funding, so there may be a waiting period for non-urgent treatment.
